Hydrating Serum

My dear pretty friend asked me to recommend her a hydrating serum.

I instantly think of this one from Vichy - 24 hours moisturizing serum!!!!!



Good smell, non-irritating and most importantly inexpensive! Make sure you buy this in "water-product" store in CWB or TST, will be around HK$200 and it lasts almost 4-5 months!!!

Compare to those so called B5 Gel, I found this serum to be much more effective on young skin!! :) B5 Gel is too heavy for me.

Use this serum right after toner and you will see it is absorbed instantly by your skin and you will not feel sticky!

Best Preventive Serum Ever!

In addition to sun screen, I super like to use this serum right after toner in the morning to give my skin a shield from the sun! It claims to contain a lot of anti-oxidant ingredients! It is not oily and penetrates my skin real fast!

It shrinks my pores and even out my skin tone noticeably.

The downside is this product is really expensive. But one bottle can lasts up to half a year for me.

So pamper yourself if you have extra money to spend!!!

My friends will probably know that I am a big fan of La Roche-Posay!
This brand made fabulous product for oily skin people.
One of the products I particularly like is -- Effaclar K.



I use this on my nose mainly to prevent blackheads!
Once per day! At night! After serum + cream...
It has been pretty effective on me!

I came across this brand when I was shopping in Sasa one day.

Basically you use Q-tip to pick up the pinkish sediment, then apply directly onto your acne spot before you go to bed.

Trust me, if not 100%, your acne will die 90% overnight!

This product doesn't make your skin dry.

It costs only about HK$130 and it lasts forever!

Kill me if it doesnt't work!

Phyto-C Pro-Heal Serum

To be honest, I am quite skeptical about whitening products. I used to think only laser will do the trick to remove any pigmentation.

But recently I came across this 'Phyto-C Pro-Heal Serum', which really surprised me. I received this tester last Friday and have been using since then every night. I notice that some of the scars (left by acne) are fading quite significantly! :D This is really encouraging!!

I am definitely going to buy the product once I finish the trial size. I know it is quite expensive, but definitely worth if you are looking to lighten some pigmentation on your face. At least it is a lot cheaper than laser!

Make your own exfoliator.

Regular exfoliation is necessary to enable your skin to absorb what you feed your skin. I like to make my own exfoliator by using pearl barley (薏米).

I grind the barley into fine pieces using my mom's kitchen grinder and store it in a box. I use 2 teaspoon of it and mix with some water to exfoliate my skin 2-3 times a week.
