Cancer Council Day Wear Face Sunscreen

As you are all aware off, it is always important to protect our skin from the sun's harmful rays. To me, this is the only way to slow down aging. Thanks a lot to lady qooza for letting me try a SPF 30 facial sunscreen produced by the Cancer Council (Australia). offers some choices for a SPF 30 facial sunscreen. The one I received is enriched with the hydrating and skin softening benefits of aloe vera and Vitamin E. In fact, Cancer Council's SPF 30 sunscreen for the face comes in several choices, including tinted, waterproof, and all-day wear. The Cancer Council recommends that you reapply the sunscreen every two to four hours. I usually apply this product twice on my face, once in the morning, then reapply at around 2pm.

This moisturizing sunscreen is very light and non-oily, can be used alone or under make up. According to the package, it is designed with both UVA and UVB filters to protect all skin types. It also has moisturizers to keep skin feeling and looking healthy. I tend to apply a generous amount of sunscreen onto my skin - like a teaspoon amount. I particularly focus on the area around my eyes as skin there tend to be thin and thus more exposed to damages brought by sunlight. I let the lotion sit for some 10 mins before putting on make-up. This product does not leave a white cast on my face nor does it bring greasiness.

Although Cancer Council products are generally sold to an Australian market, the SPF 30 sunscreen for the face can be found in several beauty stores in HK. Go and check out this product and see whether you like it too.

Acne Rescuer **Mario Badescu**

This post is dedicated to a great great brand from the US that I absolutely fell in love - Mario Badescu!!

The following samples were sent to me based on my answers to their questionnaire submitted online.



They include:- Strawberry Tonic Mask, Collagen Moisturizer (SPF 15), Seaweed Night Cream, Aloe Lotion, Drying Cream, Kiwi Face Scrub, Hyaluronic Eye Cream and Enzyme Cleansing Gel. I still haven't tried all of the samples, but among those I have tried, I really love the Seaweed Night Cream and Drying Cream. They are designed for acne-prone skin. I got quite a few break-out before I left HK for NY. Both products worked really well on my break-out without any irritation or drying up. I am going to try the rest of the samples and report here.

Precious Jewelry BB cream SPF 30 PA++

Serious, this is my 1st BB cream. I have never used this all-in-one product before. Thanks Sasa for sending me this BB cream to try out and allowing me to experience how amazing the product is. As said on the package, the product does give you perfect skin complexion creating a dewy look. I sort of understand why Korean girls have pretty skin now.



This BB cream is said to contain guava, Korean medical herbs and advanced micro covering powder, which make your skin looks naturally flawless, radiant, healthy and glow.



The texture is not thick. After a few rubbing, the cream dissolves completely into your skin. Though I have only used this product twice with make-up, I do consider it as a good product to use when you want to create a no-makeup look. Unlike foundation, this product evens out your skin tone without making you look like you are wearing a mask.

Eye cream/gel

Sorry that I have not been updating this blog as frequently as I wish to. I just came back from my best friend's wedding in New York which was amazing, but at the same time made me realise how much preparation is needed for a wedding!

I easily get puffy eyes if I do not have adequate sleep, not to mention fine lines around them due to dehydration. I have been using Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye cream/gel since late June and early July and it has become my favorite eye product.



I particularly noticed the result during my stay in NY when I did not get enough sleep. In fact I was impressed by the product as it softened and tightened the skin around my eyes and made them less puffy. The consistency of this product is more of a gel form that instantly soothes. I also like that I don't have to apply a great deal of product to get nice results.



I highly recommend this product to people who easily get puffy eyes.
